Hey, Hulk Hogan was still a God of sorts, he wore Fanny packs all the time.

Besides, it was camo.

He also flounced about in booty shorts and easy-rip tank tops.

Camo? It could have had an actual working Optimus Prime helmet on it; I would have not been seen with that in daylight. Heck, I remember repainting a NICE skateboard due to a prevalence of pink in the graphics.

Fanny packin'. That's like having an array of scratch-n-sniff stickers from Strawberry Shortcake on your TrapperKeeper.

Now you're crossing the freaking line jelly man!! Trapper keepers and scratch'n'sniff strawberry shortcake stickers were the bomb!!

Really though. Hunting Fanny packs are still actually a pretty popular item now, man. It's more about utility than fashion. You can go into any sports store and find one still. Your can even find them occasionally prepacked with popular accessories such as hand warmers, wipes, whistles, emergency blankets and snake kits.

Well he had an allowance big enough to buy all that carp. At... six.

I had an "allowance" too. I was alot older than, um, six, old enough to work away from home, and it was a "per-hour" allowance during the Summer and I worked the list of things-to-do at the homestead.

Leave it to windows to make it difficult to take a 3"x 5" picture and put it on a 2"x 3.5" business card layout. Suddenly the dimensions of the picture are smaller than those of the business card. WTF!

Convinced yourself? So are murses, in metrosexual enclaves... "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." 'splains The Corp.

Trapper keepers rocked!

I had a back to the future skateboard, too. And a donkey Kong hat.

Hmmm. Maybe someone just has their panties twisted and wants to try and start ****?

A brick in 1989 where I grew up was 3 bucks. Coke was 40 cents for the glass bottle (30 cents for the can). M&M's were even less than that.

I don't think 5 bucks a week for doing all my chores, plus anything extra asked of me, and as a simple pat on the back for bringing home good grades and staying out of trouble was all that extravagant. Maybe you do. Oh well, to each their own.

And I'll see your snooty little summer job comments and raise you one: got my first after school job when I was ten, making 2 bucks an hour. And I was bringing down about 20 a week selling dream catchers through the local head shop on consignment.

I was ****ing ROLLING in .22 ammo. My damned Fanny pack was so ****ing full of ammo, I had to go get another one, and had one slung over each hip.

(could a mod add the green to that last paragraph please? Can't do it from my phone...)

Hell, trip, in 1991, I was rockin' a fanny pack & I was 32 years old and I looked good. My allowance was whatever a liquor, beer & wine salesman made back then, let's just say it was a little more than $6 a week.

I'm still so secure, that I just went out and bought another after 20-some years, JIC!

Others can only steal your dignity with your permission!

Alright, ALRIGHT. Now tell him the truth Eatmydust. You're not helping him. Or any other confused young boys out there. He really did wear a fanny pack. He's not kidding. He's reaching out to us. OK It's nothing to joke around about...
