No. They once asked a Pope whether it would be a sin for him to do any girl watching. His response was basically, "I can window shop all I want, I just can't sample the merchandise."

I still don't think he quite understood though, but I think he got the point that if he wants to look, he'd better not let me hear him comment.
I think that's the right balance. He can look, but not comment.

So he can have feelings and thoughts that may not be appropriate, he just can say anything? I don't agree with that or a frankly unGodly comment by a Pope.

It's what's going on inside, one's intellect and emotions, soul, that matters. Find out what's really going on there Trip. There's a fine line between looking and ogling. Ariel Castro didn't "comment" either and I would volunteer to take an unpaid leave of absence to come up with innovative ways to punish as well as have them execute each other slowly if he and his brothers are found guilty and sentenced to the death penalty (which I don't even believe in personally)!

Ok, a couple of things.

I don't think he's thinking of any girl sexually. It very well could have been a simple involuntary response to having a butt shoved in his face.

And even giving the impression of suggesting my kid could be compared to a future Ariel Castro is crossing the line, so please, choose your words carefully.

For the love of God, Hock! Put a little perspective in your comments! I cannot believe that you mentioned a 7-year-old boy, an unsubstantiated comment by an unspecified Pope and an inhuman monster in reference to what is most likely an innocent act of a child. Seriously dude, WTF????

Sorry, not at ALL implying that your son could possibly act out sublimated sexual irregularities if his possible earliest and perhaps inappropriate expressions of sexuality are superficially supressed but otherwise unknowingly acknowledged and approved.

I only felt it might be a good idea to find out if he meant "wow, that's hot," "wow, that's rude," or "wow, 'somethig else'" before you tell him he's a good boy (which of course he is -- no doubt) and to just hide what he's thinking. I'm just sayin'...

That's entirely uncalled for and definitely NOT your place to tell him how to raise his kid.
