This is for the same engines where the only differences are in the US emissions requirements.

I am thinking that if you are burning 25% more fuel, there is probably zero net gain in the reduction of emissions. I cannot imagine the emissions in the US version are 25% less or better.

Now, on the other side of that coin I do see a noticeable and beneficial reduction in smog, at least here in California. 40 years ago I could look out my window here and not see the mountain range on the other side of the valley for the entire summer long due to the smog. There was a yellowish/brown smog that obscured the view.
Yuck. Thanks goodness we've abandoned our industrial base too!

She came and spent a week here at my place this past winter, and about the middle of next month I'll be traveling up to Wyoming to spend nearly a week there.

My only regret is that we can't have more time until after she finishes school

I had another shop in mind but thought better of mentioning it as someone would complain. But you should do that -- I'd send you a gift!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. There is something to be said for long distance relationships and a little free space.

Here is a pic I just took off my deck. It is a little hazy, but it isn't yellow/brown. Currently 85 degrees and headed for 90 right now. That is Silicon Valley, San Jose CA down in the bottom of the valley.

High water has work slow. Brought my regular boat out 4/11 layed it up 5/3. Thankfully I found another boat that was short handed, got a rental car with the pilot down to it. Big boat and seems ok. Will see. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Told y'all to quit slacking on the wedding planning...
I think we're going to try to have it outdoors if that helps.
Congratulations!

Congrats, all y'all! I always cry at weddings.......

Re: Fuel mileage- I have a 1993 Lincoln Town Car, see also boat, elephant, or small armored vehicle. 4.9 liter V-8. On the interstate, cruise set at 65, the on board computer tells me average fuel mileage is 36 mpg while cruising. 4000 lb car. Think I have lived in smaller apartments. Mileage comparable to my 2012 Ford Taurus.

Original engine, 143K miles, keep air filter clean, tires inflated and aligned. Rides like you are in a Lazy Boy recliner on rails.

Wow. Someone was also telling me Thursday the Town Car V-8's are 300-400,000 mile engines in a conversation about Chevy small blocks...

Matty, most any engine can go many, many miles if taken care of properly. regular maintenance means alot. i have had many engines go well over 200K with routine maintenance.

I did forget to mention, all of y'all are invited to the wedding, whenever it shall be.

In fact, there's a handful of you who I very strongly suggest you be there, under threat of being hog tied and thrown in the back of a truck. NOT so gently either if I have to actually do that. Winds. I won't name any names. TWW. Don't want y'all to get scared and skip country. C3. Couldn't have a bunch of FTF'ers who've been such awesome friends to both of us, being a no show at our wedding. Zombiegirl/Fathead. Even hippies will be welcomed with open arms. Trez.

Stuff such as shovels, crow bars, tire irons... They don't feel so good when you're so very unceremoniously tossed on top of them like a bag of feed with your hands and ankles tied behind your back. Believe me, I know...

Winds, I'll do you the favor of at least making sure you're on top of the pile, and not right next to the smelly hippie...

Oh, I'll be eating chili dogs for the whole trip too. Y'all may share my hotel rooms with me, since I won't be wanting to pay for extra rooms if I have to actually kidnap you all. I suggest you be wearing a gas mask when I stop by your place. Also, I don't imagine I'll have to forcibly grab MobileMarine, so he'll be enjoying the chili dogs too...
