There's a fine line between allowing a little girl to dress inappropriately, and smothering them.
I'm here at the park with my boy, and there is a little girl wearing a sweater over a tube top type something or other.
Mom threw a hissy fit when the girl tried to take the sweater off because the top underneath was too revealing.
Okay. That's good parenting I think. But maybe looking at the weather forecast and seeing that it's supposed to reach 80 today would be a better idea. Then a full tshirt could be worn underneath instead of some pajama top looking hooyah.
Now the poor child is miserable because she's so hot she doesn't want to play!
Or maybe... This 6 year old doesn't have a job, so Mom and Dad are buying her clothes... Why buy something that they consider inappropriate? Is it okay to dress in clothing that's "too revealing" at home, but not in public? Sends a strange mixed signal I think...
I'm glad I have a boy. Simplifies a lot of things. But I'd love to have a little girl too. Fortunately, I have nieces!!
