He was recommended by a friend. He did good work, it was just some small stuff that I'm to lazy to do properly(trim and quarter round, railing banister).

The part that bothers me is that if I was working at someone's house and was thirsty, I would get a glass of water, I wouldn't have cared if he got some soda out of a 2 liter bottle, but to open a can of something you don't know what it is. I would not do that. Most contractors I have met also always bring a large jug of whatever they want to drink with them to the job site.

Plus it was his loss because on the last day of work I always offer up a couple beers from the kegerator to anyone doing work at my house. It's just the polite thing to do. That's beer that he probably would have liked.

Oh well, live and learn.

I feel miserable today. I have a serious inflammation of the ear canal. The worst part about it is that I was born with only one ear. I am literally deaf to the world right now. No guns for me.

That does suck, but at least you have a good comeback to that old line about "your maker gave you two ears & one mouth so you could listen twice as much as you talk..." bit people spew.

Am I the only one that will not stop when someone walks in on a monumental ball scratch?

Sometimes I wonder "Why is that Frisbee getting so big?"

And then it hits me...

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
