I'm already starting to see it happening on Facebook gun trader groups... Many of them doing this are a bunch of young kids...
"I'm looking to sell my DPMS AR now! It's only 3 months old, and I've only fired 30 bullets from it! Comes with 2 hi capacity clips! Only $3000! Selling at a major loss because I have a baby on the way and I didn't get as much back on my tax refund as I thought I would thanks to Obama!"
About 60 comments down the page, after the poster has gotten pissed because he's not getting rich off his rifle, you see where he's sold it for $1000.
And I laugh and laugh...

Is there a such thing as a 4000fps .30 caliber cartridge? If there is why isn't it more popular? The .22-250 is popular because of shooting flat, a .30 should be too. I know, the recoil would be enough to knock out dental fillings, but a brake or magnaport would solve that.

there was a guy on the radio trading post the other morning that had a bushmaster AR in 450 that he wanted $3500 for! me and my buddy just looked at other, dumbstruck! huh? $3500!

Re: 4000 fps 30 cal. Yes, there is. Uses a .50 BMG case and a sabot. Bullets tend to break up from the speed of the SPIN. Accuracy questionable. Bore life that of a Mayfly. Recoil significant. Cost atrocious.
Just because something CAN be done does not mean it is a good idea.
