Believe your doctor. My friend, Dave, who went to the Veterans hospital to withdraw from drinking eventually quit smoking a couple years after sobriety. One of the most profound things he's told me is it was much harder to quit smoking than drinking. And this guy was a severe alcoholic.

Yep and that girl got a piece of my mind, at my friend's request, when I got to the hospital.

I recall a few yrs ago the doc put me on a smoking cessation patch but dont recall which one but after bout 1hr it felt like my heart was going to explode and my arm felt weird , ripped the patch off swung by the pharmacy to see if I was going to die and they told me to go to the er if it got worse and not to put anymore on .

Oh yea , remember my neighbor who shot himself recently ?
He was not who he said he was , we always heard he had killed a man but never thought anything of it . Well , ol boy did kill someone in Vegas about 20yrs ago .
Law was on to him so he ran , took on his dead brother identity and moved here.
Well he had been living off SS but they caught up to him about why he was that old but only had 20yrs worth of work history and were going to make him pay back many years of SS .
NOW for the that sucks part .
His family cant get a dang thing of his since it was all purchased under a false ID
I know the Det working his death and he is not a straight arrow so I warned his family to watch out . Sure enough They all went to the house to secure the left over guns , a NIOCE colt 1911 , ruger mk3 and a old shotgun . He starts saying how he would love to have the colt and he just throws them in the cruiser , family flipped out and asked him to document IN FRONT of them what he was taking . He asked them why ? They will be in the evidence room.

Sadly they will prob end up at his house and the state is getting all of his property and personal belongings .
I told the family since the power is now shut off we cant see over there

Do they have the serial numbers for the guns? Report them stolen and who stole them. Even without the numbers they can file a stolen property report- that is if the guns are not in the property room at the PD (like that's gonna happen!)
