When my father-in-law was in a nursing home I would bring him a Kirk's burger (local burger joint)and it would make his day. They had him on an all-liquid diet but as long as I sat with him and monitored his eating (which I did 3 times a day anyhow) it was OK, and it made him happy.

Make sure they aren't aspirating their White Castle burgers and let them enjoy!

Here at the dealership getting oil changed in our Malibu. Front passenger axle seal is shot.... Not sure how that happened already, they showed it to me and all the lovely fluid thrown about. Have to wait to Monday for it to be fixed and its a 4-6 hour job according to the shop manager.

Good news it's still under warranty.

We get a free rental car too. Glad the guy found that. Better a seal than a transmission.

For sure....I think Last time I was up there was a year and a half ago with my now Ex. I'm conserving rifle ammo right now because I can't find any replacement ammo anyplace for a good price so I mostly shoot handguns and shotguns "my dad is a shotgun reloading champ and floats me a few boxes of target loads from time to time". I will PM ya if I plan on going up there anytime soon .....range days have been few and far in-between for me.

CV axles suck, that's how that happened... Was it the seal in the transmission or one of the boots?

I would go crazy. I like people but I also like my space. Fortunately, I have never had to share a house with anyone but my husband and my children. Oh, yeah, my sister once for about 3 months while she was getting a divorce but I was so glad when she finally got her own place.

What?! You can talk on cell phones? I thought they only texted. Waddya know? You learn something new every day. I prefer talking on my land phone if I am going to have a lengthy phone conversation. It just has more clarity.

Okay, I'm not going back to the nursing home for a few days. I arrive bringing two double Jalapeno burgers for my Dad's friend and two single regular burgers for my Dad. As they are eating them, my Dad says to us, "I've been having trouble with constipation for a couple days so I had a glass of prune juice with breakfast and now these Sliders." We all just started laughing hysterically. I told my Dad I wouldn't call him for a day or so because I'm sure he'll be in the bathroom.
