Me: How much fuel was in it?

Salesman: Well the gauge read 1/4

Me: You didn't dip the tanks?

Salesman: No, the gauge said it was 1/4

I think he missed the point...

So I made him go with me
I would have told the salesman he had to have it towed back to the shop. No need to be working on it outside when you have a heated shop right there! Salesmen are such idiots sometimes.

Well at least the mags can still run without the bullet guide they just won't be 100% reliable.

It was closer to me than the shop. Didn't take too long.

You are missing the point. The salesman needs to be taught a lesson. He screwed up and if he is not taught a lesson he will do it again and again. He has to pay(or would be held accountable)for the tow tot he shop. Then you need to take extra time "fixing" it because he screwed up.

Kinda sorta like Scotty on Star Trek used to say "Always tell the Captain it will take twice as long as it really will. That way when you do it in half the time you look like a genius!"

Another trick I would teach when working on cars is when doing a repair, approach it like you are having sex in an elevator. Take off as little as possible so you can get the job done before the doors open. (I worked in a flat rate shop).

Balota sent me this article through PM. I don't know why he didn't post it on the open forum. It's an excellent article, in my opinion.

http://nymag.com/thecut/2013/02/rise-of-the-female-gun-nut.html

Wait, I know why he didn't post it. He doesn't want to have to explain why he was reading that online magazine.
