You know how Cinder's sig advises you to "Know your limits, exceed them often!" ? I don't think she meant shade tree gun smithing!!!

Talk to Trip. I hear he's planning to start a gunsmith shop...

Wone me order ya un?

My favorite response? "What's a 1911?"
"you're a gunsmith, right?"
"Yup"
"nevermind..."

Then back to...
"I can order that..."
"Yeah, I can too."
"Uh uh, gotta be an FFL or licensed gunsmith to order it..."
"Sorry, I don't do business with liars or dumbasses."

"got one right here. It'll cost ya 20 bucks, and a nice naked dance" Freaking perv.

Fugg 'em. I may open up my own damn shop.

Gonna order one, maybe a couple of other things, and then start investigating. I'm gonna look into 1911 smithing and see what it'll take. I can do maintenance, cleaning, and repair (parts replacement) no problem. Need to check into the finer points, fine tuning, finishing, trouble shooting.
Don't forget about learning how to do a trigger job.

Trip, Midway ships pretty quick. i would just order it from them. i get most of my orders from them is four days or less.

there are some really good books on the 1911. check Midway and order a couple if you order your part from them..

and Canebrake is an excellent resourse for the 1911, and he he would be happy to share that knowledge with you.

If I can do one on a Smith and Wesson, I see nothing holding me back from doing it on a 1911.

Been meaning to try my hand at fine tuning my own trigger, but It's broken in pretty well now and I can't find a reason to.

I would call in an order if I were you. Just last Friday I ordered a part at 6:30PM from Summit Racing in Reno. It arrived on my doorstep FedEx Saturday morning at 10:00, and I am out in the boonies more or less. No extra charge for next day delivery! Freaking awesome. I can't imagine a tiny part like the mag screw would take any longer!

Maybe next time your wanting to mess with the shopkeep about ordering parts, you could ask about a firing pin & hammer for a Medusa Model 47???

HA! If I'd stuck with, I'm-a-pretty-girl-I-can't-get-dirty limit when I was like, 6, There are a lot of things today that might still be working. But there are also a lot of things that wouldn't be working. How the hell else are you going to figure anything out?

I hate to be the one who has to point this out but I think Tex was making fun of you. I can't believe he would do that!
