I have this chain saw. Does this count? And I'm sort of afraid of it. It can only cut branches up to 6" thick. I only use it to trim or cut up branches that fall off the tree in storms.

I still don't wear chaps, I don't use one regular enough to buy a pair. Always be mindful though.

Plenty enough to take an arm off.

You mean a 660? They don't make a 665. Longest bar it is rated for is 36". It doesn't have enough power to drag a longer chain safely.

Sometimes I will start to use the saw without chaps but my kids will stop me. They cost around $50 and the first time you need them you made your money back many times over.

I have a few Stihl 261 pro saws with 16" bars on them and 8-tooth drivers. Faster chain speed that way. Also have a couple of Husky Ranchers, but they don't get much use- don't care for them. My son has a Stihl 290 (I think) as his first saw, he got it last year when he was 16. We go through saws pretty regular. I have found that too big of a saw is foolish, makes for way more work than is necessary. With that 261 Pro I can put the 20" bar it came with on for bigger jobs and I have felled 40"+ size trees with it. You just have to know how to approach it.
The torque teeth are the steel triangle teeth beside the bar made out of galvanized steel. Ya your right on the knowing how to use it. I got this saw back when I was logging and never sold it. Bout the time I start to I find I need it so I've kept it.

Ya the 660. A buddy gave me the bar and chain for it so I was seeing how it worked. I wont use it ever again cuz it didn't have the power and kept hanging up as you said.

I know. That's why I'm kind of afraid of it.

I just got back from "game night" at a friends house. We all had a rip roaring time. My one friend has (literally) hundreds of games. Some I never heard of. We played "Chupacabra" and "Zombie Dice". LOL We started out playing "Apples to Apples" as one friend brought her kids. But they left around 2015 and we moved on to the other games. It was fun.
