I'll pour it in then it'll be good to go until the next time I need to replace the mattress in about 10 years. ROFL I don't really know what that stuff is supposed to do. I don't think it prolongs the life of the vinyl at all. I think it just is to 'bleach out' the water in the mattress. But I don't care what the heck is going on with the water in the mattress. It's IN THE MATTRESS.
Really? what if it gets gross and starts growing things, or smelling bad?

It's all sealed up in the mattress. You can't smell it in there. Also, the temp on my waterbed is most usually set at 98 degrees or higher so I don't think too much is growing in there. AND there is no light getting to the water in the mattress so no algae or whatever. I just read the bottle of the 'conditioner'. It's to keep the fiber baffles conditioned if you have a waveless waterbed (I don't) and it helps dissipate any air bubbles. Once the mattress is established and 'burped' a few times, no more air bubbles form. But a new mattress will need to be 'burped' pretty frequently for 2-3 weeks.

Why? I whine if I don't get to sleep on my waterbed. What makes them good for the '70's and not good now? It's not like they are 'fashionable' like an article of clothing.

And I just realized I have an attachment that hooks to my sink so I can partially fill it with warm water and I will be sleeping in my bed tonight and not that crappy, God forsaken couch.

I meant to put a smile on your face- not tease. I apologize. I do hope you do find a man soon who can help you oil up your bed though.

Hey, if you work things right maybe the organisms will make it into a massage bed! it would help if they have the same schedule as you though.

It's okay. I laughed. And you're not supposed to put oil on the mattress, anyway. Well, if you do, you have to clean it off. Oil will break down the vinyl.

I don't see the government helping me find a partner. And I'm not looking to "get laid". I'm looking for something more than that. Don't make me out to be trampy.

I thought someone suggesting you should get naked and oily on a waterbed was what would do that...
