Young niece came out of bathroom and found my girlfriend mixing up brownies. "HocakLouis' sweetheart, can I lick the bowl?" she asked. My girlfriend answered "just flush like everyone else!"

NRA has 4 million members!!
Why are there100 million gun owners, but only 4 million NRA members.
If every gun owners was required to be an NRA member, we wouldn't have political problems.

That sounds like a "union shop" situation. Howsabout, "if every firearm purchased came with a introductory NRA membership...".

I don't agree with everything the NRA does or represents (though I am a member) and I know that there are many gun owners and 2A supporters out there that will not join because of their differences. It is that same thing as voting for a candidate that you disagree with. Lots of people here did that. And lots of people didn't vote at all because they didn't like any of the candidates.
Mandatory membership is never a good idea.

I quit a Trap Club/Shooting Team because they decided to require membership in the NRA (and not for insurance purposes).
Note I was, am, and have always been an NRA member (including being and Instructor Trainer and Chief Range Safety Officer).
They shut down two years later...
