Lastly, 5.56 Nato vs. .30 Goverment (06)... 'nuff said
The great thing about ARs is that they are completely customizable. They make a version where the charging handle is on the side. I'm not sure about the safety and mag release though. To me, they are in pretty handy spots.

Oh, and the AR-10 is in .308, and there was a 30-06 AR at one time. They can also come in 50 BMG.

I have one i picked up at the local gunshow; it is a bit worn but a BLAST to plink with and a trip to fire at night. I bought mine from some old guy who doesn't sell many guns, mostly knives; no paperwork other than showing my in-state driver's license and the bag he wrapped it in.

They have them at czechpoint in "unissued" condition, $305. http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/products/vz-52/vz-52-pistol-unissued-condition/

New mags are available at sportsmansguide for reasonable prices. Most of the cheap surplus ammo is gone, but S&B makes a good round for them without the corrosion primer.

Mags... Speaking of magazines: I saw a guy on armslist had three scar 17 magazines, rare, flat dark earth, soon to be banned, for the low price of $2500. I had to read it three times to make sure it was just the mags. Jump on that, Jon. He said they are worth it.

What's going to happen if the ban fails to pass? Is there going to be a massive drop in price?
