Civil Disobedience-wherever there is authority, there is a natural inclination to disobedience. Oppression breeds Rebellion

He wouldn't even make it, he'd get halfway through AZ make 90 degree turn and head north rather than continue west.

I was talking with a friend today, and he mentioned something that I found interesting. He said he thought more people would buy powerball tickets if it was 5 separate 100 million dollar drawings, as opposed to one.

Do you all think more people would buy tickets if it was 5 separate 100 million dollar drawings, or more would buy if it's left the way it is now.

I dunno, I have a crap-load of ammo that is useless to me. At least right now it is.

Could be true, but I honestly don't think so. When I worked at a shop the only time anybody would put together a lottery pool is if it was a huge payout. It seems that the bigger the payout is the more people bought tickets. I personally have only bought a handful of tickets in my life and ever time it has been for one dollar (except for the pools at work when I would participate for the camaraderie, plus I would have felt like a schmuck if they hit the big one!). When I have bought tickets I will more often than not forget to check and see if I won.

That's similar to what I said. I said that 500 mil sounds more exciting.

You have to check to see if you won! I'm sure you're a millionaire and don't even know it!

I'm in two lottery pools at work all the time. A third starts up when it gets big. My theory is this: it would really suck to watch 20 coworkers walk out laughing at everyone that didn't play. So I'm in.

Right now, there is like 180 or so employees. In the last 15 years, two have won millions. One idiot still works there. The optimist says odds are it will happen again. The pessimist says odds are it shouldn't have happened twice. Primer says he doesn't wanna miss out if the optimists are right.
