Nah, a little bit after that; maybe Cane was a teenager.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

Yeah, I thought they only had the M1A1Spear when he was a youngun.

I'm not sure about Boeing or Lockheed, but Bell is actually hiring for a lot of positions right now. Hopefully the economy will be better by the time I get my degree too.

I'd lose my mind... I've also known since I was little that I wanted to be a mechanic, my Dad has always discouraged it. The biggest change was the day I woke up and realized I couldn't live my life to make my Dad happy.

That's a fairly recent development...

From reading your posts, and from how much you know about engines, I think you would have made a great mechanical engineer, but it sounds like your happy with your job, and that's a great thing.

I'm sure I could do it and I'm sure I would be good at it, I think quite highly of myself these days you can blame Trip, I just don't think I'd be happy. I'd rather be outside in the snow and the rain and the heat, building an engine than inside in a comfortable chair staring at a computer screen. I know I could make a lot more money as an engineer than I probably ever will as a diesel mechanic, but I look at my Dad who is a farm boy from Wyoming and now he's an International Tax Director for a big corporation, he makes a lot of money I don't know how much but he hates his job. I don't want to be like that....
