Civil Disobedience-wherever there is authority, there is a natural inclination to disobedience. Oppression breeds Rebellion

You were right. Your car probably has an automatic tensioner. It's a pulley with a spring in it. So rather than adjusting the tension manually like older cars, when you replace the belt you just move that pulley as far as you can, put the new belt on and let it go.

BITD, we would just rub some soap on the contact side of the belt as it was spinning. That would quiet it for a little while.

Can't do that these days, both sides of the belt makes contact. I didn't replace the belly when I did the tensioner, and I know t that's probably what I need to do. I did find a temporary fix, I dribbled a little power starting fluid on the belt and our supported squeaking for over a month. LOL

I dart all the time so I wouldn't know the difference there. On the ear part though, that is annoying. I can usually get them to "pop back", at least partially, by opening my mouth real big afterwards.

My youngest son has a cold. He sent me a picture of himself after he sneezed. He had a stream of snot hanging from his nose to well below his chin. If I had any cajones, I'd post the picture here. It was disgustingly funny.

Had the suspicion it was him. "Young at heart" name. Then his intro. Yup.

Sometimes we would go out of view in one spot, climb up the shelving and get across the shop bays on the top shelves (out of view of the cameras) and then reappear on the other side of the shop from a spot that was completely covered except for a small area where we would climb down.

Drove the owner absolutely batty.
That is incredibly funny.

When my oldest son was in high school, he knew the views of the video cameras in the hallways (yeah, he spent some time in the office LOL) and when he'd teach the bullies a lesson for picking on kids, he knew just where to 'correct' that bully so it wouldn't be caught on the video tape. He wouldn't punch the bully but would lift him up by the front of his shirt, press him against the lockers and offer a little advice.

If I think long and hard enough, I usually can figure things out for myself. But I'm not very quick at it.
Here it is!! My handyman cut the shelves for me and charged me the cost of the plywood plus $20. I put a coat of polyurethane on the shelves, installed the brackets then mounted the shelves to the brackets. It's DONE!! It's cold out today but is supposed to warm up later this week. Then I'm going out and organizing my 'stuff' and putting it all up off the floor and onto the shelves. My car will be in the garage this winter. First time in about 5 years. No more scraping ice and snow of my car. WOOT!!
