I got me a new little friend Friday. We had an orange stripey cat my son picked out from a farm when he was 5 years old. We had it for 16 years. It was the most mellow cat and everyone in the neighborhood loved that guy. Kids would ring the doorbell and ask if the cat could come out and play and grownups would walk past the house and say, "Hi, Sky" to the cat. I have noticed that most orange stripey cats are males and very laid back. Truth or fiction, who knows, but I have seen a trend.
So, in browsing Craigslist I see this little guy looking for a home. I've seen orange cats on there all the time but this time I was ready to take in a new cat. I went and got him and he is everything I expected an orange stripey cat to be. His purr is so loud already you can hear him across the room. He snuggles and doesn't mind being carried around by my granddaughter. He isn't afraid of the dogs and in general has made me very happy.
I have scheduled his neutering, chipped and shots at a low cost clinic for a very reasonable price. He's about 12 weeks old. My daughter has an orange stripey cat she named "Cheeto" and this guys name is "Orange Crush" or Crush for short.
Here he is.......
