I bet model rockets are still legal there. Some of the bigger ones even have tiny lil spots for a payload.
Model rocketry is what lead to the V2 "buzzbombs" in WW2.

We have model rockets, built a few from scratch. I don't think I would attempt a shot at an A-10 though.

No offense, but I don't think you would be enough of a target for an A-10 (no armor). I'm thinking more of helicopters.
Besides, the A-10's are turbofan or something, not turbine.

By armor, i meant tanks, the intended target the A-10 was designed for.
RPG-type device would require some skills to get the impact trigger right and such, but shouldn't be impossible. However, non-explosive payloads could also be interesting - stuff to foul turbine engines (like on helicopters) like metal shavings (magnesium comes to mind) or paint to coat cameras or windshields.
I would shoot at anything shooting at me, if i had no good alternative. Additionally, model rocketry has handy components like those handy launch controllers and ignitors. Heck, a swarm of the cheapo rockets launched all together might be enough to keep a pilot busy while i split.
