Somewhere...
Out there...
Over the rainbow...
In FTF land...
There's a thread that I've seen once...
With some pictures I'd like to browse...

Wasn't there an sks picture thread at one time or another? Can someone help me out? I can't find it to save my life.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Thanks man. I've decided on an sks, and I'm getting into the research phase now. Possibly buying this February. Maybe two.

the grain of the tree from that location would be very tight and very burly (a woodworker's term for curly). The more burly a wood is the more pronounced the figure (grain) is when it is stained/finihsed. For gun stocks and certain furniture or decor items it is very desirable

I will not comply. I will not lie down. I will not go quietly. I will not submit. I will not roll over. I will not shut up.

Congrats!!! Here's what I know about them.

The Yugos come with a grenade laucher, bit it makes the gun front heavy. They also tend to be well used, and the bore tends to be worn.

The Norincos are usually in great shape, and cheap.

The Russians are in demand for collecters, so they tend to be expensive.

That's about all I know about the varients. If you can find one in the neighborhood of $250-$350, your doing pretty good.

Last time you shot my wasr 10, you looked like you just got off the zippen pippen. "I gotta get one of these", I thought I heard.

Yes, yes, I loved shooting it, and I would like to have one....

But an SKS or two will fit my budget a little better, and it doesn't look quite as menacing in it's stock configuration...

I have shot an SKS too, so... I'm just picking what I think suits me better.
