It really gets to me even thinking about it. I can't even begin to know how you're feeling, but please stay strong. Let us know the minute you need anything or just want to talk.

Maybe he'll just settle for hooters. He can enjoy the scenery (apparently, I didn't know he was into that yet) and I can enjoy a buffalo chicken sammich.
Personally I would wonder what prompted that. Perhaps he went to one with his mom (maybe she competed in one with him present)? That is not a normal 6-year old's request. Even a kid who is very early in maturing would not make that request on his own. I have no problem with a 6-year old going to Hooters, but I would no more bring a child that age or even older to a wet T-shirt contest than to a stripper club. Way too much likelihood that things would get too bawdy for a kid to be able to process.

Early onset puberty has become common these days and is generally attributed to the large amount of hormones people are exposed to, particularly birth control pills that the mother takes. Even early onset in boys is only common around 9 years old. It may not seem like a problem to a parent, but it can be a huge emotional roller-coaster for the kid if he is maturing at a much earlier age than his peers are. Think about when you were going through puberty and magnify that a couple times..

Hopefully it is the former and not the latter.

Same reason anyone has a cat or a tankful of fish or a bird. You like them, they keep you company, you enjoy their antics. If I had a mini horse I would take it for walks and play with it.
