Peterbilt uses either CAT or Cummins engines, PACCAR, the parent company of Peterbilt and Kenworth, has been manufacturing engines for their DAF and Leyland line of trucks in Europe for quite awhile but just recently started production of the MX which is being used to replace CAT engines in their trucks since 2011 when CAT quit making engines for trucks. So technically since 2011... But still fair point.

Edit: I lied they started using the MX in 2010, now maybe I can sleep

That's easy driving distance for me.

That's kind of what I thought. International has been around since the about 1900, not sure when they started making their own engines though. It was much earlier than 2011 by a pretty fair margin! I think Trez wins this round.

Oh, and I live not too far from where Peterbilt was founded (Newark CA) and remember the factory up there back in the 1980's. Not sure when they moved out of California though. We used to be able to go and pick up parts right from the factory.

Haha yeah but I have to give Trez crap about liking International, I actually had a friend who had a Scout, I thought it was pretty cool. But, International is in some deep sh*t with the EPA these days.

PACCAR has always been based out of Washington, used to be Pacific Car and Foundry. There's a Peterbilt factory in Denton, Texas.
