I do hope that he recovers well from his bad experiences. Be very observant for signs of stress in him for the next, oh, decade or so. Not to be flip but it takes many years to recover from such traumatic events and some never fully do. Keep up with the therapy as best you can afford.

The biggest issue...
Now he likes Beiber, LMFAO, several other examples of crappy music... And rap.

He does a pretty good rendition of "pants on the ground" though. Hilarity ensued at the local Walmart when he started singing it while standing right next to a group of TITs (thugs in training).

He is slowly rediscovering AC/DC, SRV, Metallica, Sinatra, and country. Thank God. He has a special place in his heart for Hendrix and the Beatles.

Well, some deprogramming was to be expected.

Too bad you didn't get a video of it!! That would be priceless!

Sounds like the deprogramming is going smoothly. Replacing the bad with good is the least disruptive way to go about it...

Taking the little one fishing today. She's sitting on the couch holding her fishing pole. I'd say she's ready to go....

Hahaha oh my God I wish I could have seen that. You can work on the Beiber thing... It could be worse... I think?

Nope. I just babysat a 7th grader (over protective parents) and HE loves beiber. I asked if he was serious and i chuckled he had such a sad look on his face i lied and said i was kidding that beiber had some talent. I almost threw up after that sentence.

He's not playing with Barbies though... Which is good because I'm terrified of dolls, I can deal with Beiber.
