I don't mind snow. But winters in the South tend to be cold, wet, and miserable. When it snows down here, it just means there's going to be cold, wet, nasty, miserable slush for several days.

Cold!? It doesnt get cold down here!
I lived in MM for 12 1/2 years. In -07 or -08 we set a new lower 48 states cold record.
Without wind it was -68 and with wind it was -76 and daaaaaamn that was cold.

Friend is a gunsmith on Molokai in Hawai'i. Bunch of us chatting one night in Feb about temps in different areas. Mel just said "Here it is 70." Response was "Yeah, but with the windchill, it is what- about 68?"

I spent a winter in Virginia/Maryland a long time ago, and I had never seen so much snow before, and I still haven't see that much again. If it even snows a little around here, the roads tend to stay empty, and all of the schools/colleges shut down.
We do not like snow. We can handle excessive heat just fine, but we HATE snow.

hung a big friggin light fixture at work yesterday, box said "made in china" of course.
it came in 6 boxes & took me 2 hours from start to finish to unpack, make sure i had everything, assemble, hang it, & assemble the rest. if it was really made in china, how come i had to build it here in the US?

I am particularly fond of winter and snow. I don't like ice on my mountains, you can't shred on ice. Well you can but it's not fun.
