so ya know all these stupid people in the videos we laugh at. im pretty sure i met a candidate for one of them today. okay, i'll try to get this story readable forgive me if its not.

i stopped at the LGS. the end.. jk. ok for real. i stopped and was looking around getting ready to buy some h335 powder. but i was looking over a few things and some guy walks over and gets help first no biggie i wasnt ready yet. then he started to talk nd i had to about keep my self from laughing.
customer says: do you have powder?
counter guy says: okay what flavor do you need?
customer says: well what do you have?
the counterguy kinda gave him a strange look and says. i have them all what do you need?
customer says: well whats the best brand?
counter guy says: what do you need it for muzzleoaders? rifles? calibers?
customer says: rifles, so the powder is smokeless?
counter guy says: yes. ya know you need a recipe for reloading or muzzleloaders as far as knds of powder. gotta have the right powder for the right application ya know. and these smokeless powders dont work for BOMBS. <counter guy laughs a little>
customer says: can i see some? whats it look like?
counter guy says: umm okay, goes gets on says it looks like this. i cant open it. it comes in theses here containers. and looks like black powder
customer says: cant open it? hmm
counter guy says: yeah you should go do some research and find out what you need it for.....

it was at this point that another fellow came over and helped me with my order so i stopped listening, and laughing. got my stuff and left. i was like WTF. the counter guy said it sarcasticlly but that dude seemed almost shocked that it wouldnt work in a bomb. like that was his intent. now that i have it written seems a bit scary. but at the time the counter guy was trying hard not to laugh either. i think he felt like he was talking with a 3 year old.

Anytime someone is interested in powder and doesn't know crap, it should send up red flags. If not for the safety of others, then his/hers.

Yeah, my P238 is a SAO, also. I don't think it's unusual to carry an SAO that has an external safety.

Nailed it. There's something about a woman that can use a stick.

Why not? It seemed to work just fine for the last 139 years. There some people who can shoot those old wheel guns faster than a lot of us could shoot semi autos.

I'm thinking it was for a bubba bomb. He just wanted to see a big fireball redneck style. Either that, or he was new to reloading, and didn't bother learning anything about it before he decided to buy the stuff for it.

The problem is that a lot, not all, of the people that aren't working, don't actually want to work....

Yea, SAS shooters are bad azz. I just had the vision of a buntline special in my head. If he is a bubba with pedigree, he knows everything he needs is under the kitchen sink to make boom. I never got into that stuff. There were plenty alchemist in the sticks where I grew up. A few can still count to 10 on their digits, if they're wearing flip flops.

The gun I am getting is a 938, about the same but it's a 9 mm.
