He got mad and left because a few certain idiots got mad and reported several of his posts got deleted by some mods who take trolls sides in everything. If you don't believe me in that being his exact words you can check my inbox to see that he said it.

I think the RF's are more than $150, but I don't know that for sure....been awhile since I looked at them.

The Henry Lever youth model I looked at fit me quite well. It was right around $250.
But.......I'm wondering if I should get a rifle that shoots a larger caliber.
What do you all think. I want to get a plinking rifle but I'm starting to wonder if I should get a larger caliber rifle.

Shooting for fun is always nice and the ammo for the Henry would be cheap. The only rifles we own are a .22 and a 30-06.

That's completely up to you. If you don't have much experience with a rifle, a .22 can be an invaluable learning tool. Not to mention how much shooting you could do for a few bucks. On the other hand, a lever action chambered in .357 mag, .44 mag, or 45 colt can be a lot of fun too, and have a lot of possibilities like hunting medium sized game. This is really a personal preference.
Personally, I'd get the .22, and then get a Mosin or Mauser later when I wanted a bigger rifle (if you have a place where you can shoot a gun that big). They do kick, but it's not too bad. You can also get recoil pads for them too.

I would recommend getting the .22lr for now and then later on get a lever action in .357 Magnum because you have the GP100 in that caliber.
Lever guns are just plain freaking fun to shoot, and shooting .22 lr is cheap compared to .357 mag. I have a 30/30 that is one of my favorite guns even though it is a beat up old piece of junk. still shoots nice!

Nope, all that's left of those fights are a few ashes after the Mods "took care" of them.

I don't think anyone got banned. It depends on how long you've been gone. It's more like I got carpal tunnel from deleting posts.
You all talked........I listened. I'll stick with the .22 rifle for now. I don't really have anywhere to shoot a larger caliber and I have never hunted or shot an animal yet. I can take the Henry to the indoor range and shoot it right along with my pistols.
