That is what I am worried most about. I am going to keep a close eye on it. I might get an extension cord for my fridge and plug it into another outlet and just leave the breaker off...

Do you have a renter's agreement stating that these types of things must be tended to ASAP? Sometimes extension cords are bad ideas too. You're in a bad spot if the guy is just fixing things himself.

No I do not have a renters agreement.
I wanted one but my landlord never followed through...I didn't complain because my rent is super cheap. $275 a month. 4 bed room farm house on a nice chunk of land in the country.

I know the guy doesn't want his house to burn down...so I'm sure if the breaker trips again he will get someone out here to look at it if he can't himself.

Jordan. I would reccommend not placing it on an extension cord BUT if you do, make sure it is extremely heavy duty.

That is a good deal. I hope it gets fixed soon. For future, always get an agreement in writing and be sure to have renter's insurance to cover your stuff as well.

I was only going to use an extension cord so I could plug my fridge into another outlet that is on a different breaker...maybe ill just try to move my fridge to the other side of the kitchen seems like it might be a better idea then an extension cord.

I do have renters insurance..so I am set there at least lol

And next time I rent I will get an agreement made up.

I went to an awesome party tonight. I'd say over 200 people there. It was at a farm and there was a live band, a beer wagon, a bonfire, fireworks and a jumper and water slide for kids. They roasted a pig and everyone brought a dish to pass. I brought a hip flask of whiskey ( but I didn't drink it all). All three of my kids came with friends/SO's and my granddaughter enjoyed the day, too. I had an incredible fun time. Best part of all, a cold front finally came through and it was about 75 degrees. It couldn't have been a more perfect night.

In today's market, it's cheaper to buy..

I bought a condo in Las Vegas 18 months ago 2x2 1200 sqft for 35k all appliances included.

Renting is like fireworks, while fun its still lighting a match to you're money..
