So I drove around all day yesterday extinguishing my resources for transferring an AR 15 lower receiver from gunbroker. I have already emailed and called every big gun store in MA and no such luck. So today I drove around to the smaller ones to talk with the owners. No luck. No one wants to do it because lowers are tricky in MA, some are legal and some aren't, and if they screw up they get fined $5000. Even an owner who is practically family (found out today

) wouldn't do it for me. One guy said he would order me an AR 15, but it would have to be an expensive one (over $1,800) to make it worth his time. Are you kidding me??? This state is scaring the dealers more than the buyers. I'm so f*cking sick of this state.
Anyways, in my travels, I stopped at a small gun store that you would never find even if you drove by it 4 or 5 times. Although its a small store, they have a lot of really cool 'stuff' and its kind of hidden. Its almost like an Easter egg hunt. I walked around the store 3 or 4 times and saw something different each time that was just cool. They have a great selection of relic and curio rifles; some surplus rifles, old muskets, flint locks, etc. Anyways, I was shooting the **** with the guy for quite some time, past their closing time, and I kept walking around to see what they had. In a corner, I found a gun thats on my 'list', I had some extra money so I talked myself into not leaving empty handed, plus I needed a "pick-me-up".
So here's the newest addition. Remington 870 Express Magnum: $150

. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with this gun. I looked it over for a LONG time to make sure I wasn't buying junk. There is one or two cosmetic flaws, other than that it looks brand new. Its like someone used it for one season of hunting. Going to thoroughly clean it tonight, buy some bulk ammo and hit the range.
Also, I found out today that the LTCs in MA are going to be issued by the state in the future instead of the town police departments. So pretty much, everyone with a Class A Unrestricted (me), will get a Class B with a Target Only restriction. The only way people will be able to keep their Class A license is if they are LEO (me soon) or if you already have a large capacity gun with the magazine that came with it from the factory. They won't be able to give out Class Bs in order to make people give up their guns. So I have to go buy a pre-ban large capacity handgun so I can continue to renew my Class A. Prebans are really hard to find here, and expensive. It would be easier to move to a different state damn it.
