Young whistle-pig isn't bad at all thrown on the grill,, the big ones just stink, come spring we'll slip out with our bows and try to get some of the little pigs, good spring fun and a good way to scout for turkeys,, these farmers up here are normally pretty keen on letting you get ground hogs out of their bean fields.

Yaz- I use a .220 Swift. There is not enough LEFT of a groundhog to put on the grill- unless you are waiting for the wind to blow the mist over to the grill.

That's why we sneak up on the with bows c3 ,, my brothers Rem. 700 is what we use for the big ones not intended for the grill, and when you miss with a bow, they don't take off like a covey of quail,,, I 've seen the go sniff the arrow, makes 2nd shots at them much easier, just have to have a fence row or other structure to get close to them. That reminds me, I really do not have a varmint rifle,, I will have to remedy that in the future.
