I have so many whys and so few answers...

Why do people who have a handicap sticker for a family member park in a handy cap space when those who are handicapped are not with them. Makes my blood boil when I see them park and make it in the store in 3 seconds. I see many more abusing the handicap spaces than people needing them using them.

Unfortunately Winds, I believe I know the answer to that and its a sick reasoning. Those Beholding to The Government to survive (the people actually) are more likely to give their vote away to anyone that offers them a little bit more. If you offer them a way out, the Republi-Crats lose the easy vote and have to work to earn those votes the old way, by solving problems not creating more with shortsighted solutions.

Hmmm... I'm going to have to check that out. Was it an interesting review at least?

That is illegal to do. To use that sticker, the handicapped person must be in that car. My Dad has one in his car and the only time it's used is if he's in the car with the driver.

Or how about the dude with the handicapped person in the car who parks in the handicapped space in front of the pharmacy then runs inside while the handicapped person stays in the car???

(worth noting: I frequently drive my handicapped mother around and park in the regular parking spaces away from the store. Mom needs the exercise and there are definitely people worse off than her who need those spaces.)

My aunt (RIP) would never park in the blue spots; I don't know if it was pride or not wanting to be looked at as a "cripple". She was in a wheelchair since childhood after a bout with polio. Actually, i should say she was "in a wheelchair" after she and her siblings saved up enough money to buy her one. IIRC, when she got the van with the lift, she did tend to go for the end spot on a row, but it has been quite a while.

She had the first carphone i ever saw (very early 1980's).
