You know, I have always wondered the same thing! I always shift sooner that way my RPMs stay lower...then I never down shift...I just put it in Neutral and cruise to a stop.

Just hit a snag here.....reloaded ten of each grain bullet I picked up today and came to what I thought should be 100 grain Amax. Turns out their 105 a max instead. Also turns out that the powder I have doesn't come up under that in my book.
Sooooo......can some one be a pal and let me know if they can find a charger for Accurate 4350 chambered for .243?

Improving fuel milage? I have a 5 speed that eats gas like a truck.... Doesn't help I near the redline at every shift. It's just too stinkin fun not too. Lol. But for when I don't I try to keep the engine at about a consistent 2000 rpm up till 5th

I saw this post and would like some info. I know a double action is sort of a safetly feature on a carry gun because of the trigger pull, right? (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) I had no idea they made guns that are DA on the first fire and SA after that. Wanting a external safety is just for one's own comfort level, right?
I kind of like the idea of a DA first shot and SA after that. I'll be following this thread because this is something I had no idea about.

How does one decide whether to get a .22 in bolt action, semi-auto or lever? Does each type of rifle have a specific purpose or is it just personal preference?
AT what distance would 'my' Henry Lever Youth Model be accurate? Would it be able to shoot to 100 yds?
