Thoughts on this? I really need a daily driver that gets better than my 10-12 mpg beast. I had a 94 Dakota with a 5.2l that I loved but it has since past . I dont know much about the 4.7l, any known issues. The truck would most likely mostly be used for on road use and maybe a little woods driving for firewood.

Mileage ....? How much do you know about machines ? Listen , look under , pull a spark plug or two and look at them , many times spark plugs tell a story about condition , leaks in drive train , vibrations , noises and a visit to a friendly mechanic sure would help . Look at tires for suspension issues .......?

The price , that ain't bad so if you know trucks or get help , check it out .

The truck had a tune up done around 3k miles ago, ive started using only 100% gasoline which has helped a little but its still pretty bad, I am running 0w-20 synthtec "advanced fuel economy" mobil one. I also frequently use sea foam or marvel mystery oil. Different tires would help but id rather not go that route. I was nervous about switching oils from 10w-30, should I switch back?

On the older engines , a little thicker oil is the way I'd go but that's only me .
What exactly do you mean by BAD....? Some of these additives might help , fuel , oil , now I don't know if they actually help but it did help my tranny issues ...!

I just figured I should be getting a little better MPG, might try a cold air intake next to see if it would help a bit.

I would pull one or two spark plugs out and look at them , black is burning rich , black and velvety or dull sheen , burning oil , light grey , burning lean .

It the plug is just sooty black , put it back in start the truck , take out air filter , rev to about 3,000 rpm , shut it off and check them plugs . Air filter change with that tune up ?

Back in the days , I'd fine tune every bike , car and truck by reading my spark plugs , they tell you many things .

Ok so I did something dumb and I need a solution. I accidentally used my old address on amazon and have 3 packages headed there. They have already shipped, should I contact the people who live their now, its very precious cargo
