I do, since my ARMY days... Plus, it makes for a better tuck for my outer shirt.

I never did until I had shingles around my waist. The shingles are gone, but the nerve damage is permanent. So now I tuck my skivvy shirt into my skivvy drawers because it helps spread the pressure of the elastic over a bigger area so it doesn't hurt so much.
BTW, if you had chickenpox when you were a kid, PLEASE get the shingles vaccine. It'll save you a lot of pain and grief later.

So, I've always wanted a 1911 and today, I got this crazy idea... How feasible would it be for someone with my limited knowledge and skills to build a 1911? And a good one, that actually works. I can build an engine, I can see no way this could possibly go wrong.
But seriously, what does it require as far as skills and tools?

I don't even know the names of all the parts. Like, I'd be missing parts and wouldn't even know it...

Every time I make or fix something, I seem to have extra parts in the end. They still work though.

Hey, every good mechanic has a few extra parts left over when they're done, makes things go faster.

I happen to've just sold one. Bought another Springfield Armory Milspec, exact same gun mine was before I started tinkering with it, then turned around resold it, made a $40 profit selling it "NIB, unfired except by factory". Turned out it was just about the only one around. Good thing too, cause I lost $80 on a canceled plane ticket.

Too bad. I woulda hooked you up.
