Yeah either they ain't getting fuel, or they ain't getting it at the right time. Or it is so cold outside they won't light.

In my youth we would build a small fire in a metal 5 gallon bucket and slide it under the engine to get it started in the winter. With the exception of the 10 speed road ranger the block heater may be the best invention in trucks in a long time.

And glow plugs and grid heaters... Heated shops help, and forklifts.

Quit using Red Bull to brew your coffee, and it gets better.

Anyone ever heard of block heaters? My truck is gas, and I put one in anyway. It can be 20 degrees, I unplug it and I have semi warm air in less than a minute. It's well worth the $23 plus antifreeze lost to put one in. Lots of times it won't even high idle when I start it up.

they are more commonly used on diesel engines and some are even fatory installed options. but they can used on gasoline engines and in very cold climates can offer the same benefits.

Heard of it in the colder climates. Folks around here don't even get them on their diesels.
