To convert a 1911 45acp to a 22lr one has to change out the barrel recoil spring and the mag that is all. Swap them parts out and you have a 22lr or a 45acp.

Kimber and Ciener both make drop in slides where all you have to do is pull the 45acp slid off and drop this one in its place and swap the mags.

That's a very good deal, or it is compared to prices here. They cost around $325. or so here.

Depends on the model. If the Ruger is a MkIII 22/45 then no that is not a deal at all $199 would be a deal. If it is for a SS hunter or something along that line why are you talking about it on here and not out buying it.

all the 1911/22lr conversion kits I've seen include a slide, I don't think a
simple barrel, spring and mag change will do the job. I doubt the 45
extractor would even reach the rim of a 22lr and I believe most of the slides
are aluminum as the 22lr doesn't have enough enregy to cycle a full size steel
1911 slide

the CZ75B 22lr conversion is the same, includes an aluminum slide

CZ-USA -> CZ 75 KADET ADAPTER

I would love to have one of these and a couple of spare magazines. The picture may help explain what is in the "kadet kit".

Why do all the kits I've seen contain a replacement slide then? If the kits are $200+, it sure would be a lot cheaper to just replace the barrel, spring, and mag like you say.
