A "double action only" or DAO weapon always starts out with the hammer or striker at the rest or forward position. They are also know as "safe action". Even racking the slide does not cock the striker. I have a Kahr CM9 and a S&W Sigma that are both like that. Pulling the trigger always pulls back the striker.

Two dogs escape my neighbors yard on a regular basis. I have left a note, unanimously, in his mailbox telling him to keep his dogs at home. That worked for several weeks. Mrs primer saw them carrying a dead chicken, which would have come a mile from where they live, I'm over half a mile from there. I shot some fireworks at them this morning to scare them off. One is friendly, the other runs like hell at first sight of me (good instincts!)

Question: should I be a d%$# and call the dog warden on them? I don't want to take chances with my kid, or someone else's kid while at my house.

I would call animal control without hesitation. People like that should not be allowed to own dogs. They are a danger to the neighborhood.

I would give a heads up that I would be calling animal control the very next time the dogs were on my property.

I'm buying a Rossi 927, but I'm having a hard time getting a holster for it. Would a holster for an S&W l or k frame work?

Dunno, I would take it to a gun show or somewhere else and try some for size.

LOL! There had to be a connection with dead bears!
