But no, I haven't checked anything yet, just throwing some possibilities around. The last thing I want is to be the "mechanic" that just throws parts at a problem....
Plugs are them things similar to a glo plug pinja

Axxe I've seen bank 1 or bank 2 lean or bad cat codes for oxygen sensors.

I just think it's weird that it went from multiple cylinders to just cylinder 1. If it's just the one cylinder it would have to be a plug or a wire right?
check these for a P0301 misfire code.
Faulty spark plug or wire
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Running out of fuel
Poor compression
Defective computer

Jared, sorry but that's incorrect. a spark plug ignites a fuel and air charge. an glow plug merely preheats the combustion chamber to build a higher temperature to support the combustion of the diesel and air charge. usually only needed at cold start up or in colder climates. most diesels once they have obtained operating temperature never need to use the glow plugs again.

I stand corrected

Well he wants a tune up anyway. So I'm going to do plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter and air filter and clean out the throttle body. There's only once coil and it's throttle body injected so I'm thinking neither coil or injector, but I'll check the oxygen sensors and cats as well.

Hypersplenism. Causes a low platelet count. Hover around 100 of whatever units they measure platelets by. Normal is much higher.

Normal is 200-400.

Yeah, the spleen is what cleans old platelets out of the bloodstream. Mine is working overtime. It removes them too fast. So all my platelets are young and vigorous. Wish I could say the same for me!

I used to donate (over a gallon, all told), but my veins are squirrelly at best, and after 3 dry holes before blood was hit last time (coffee cup sized bruise afterwards), I finally said enough. Plus, anybody getting blood from me is also getting a host of allergies as a bonus. Surprise! You now are allergic to yeast, have fun with that!
