Actually, when using pegs (trenails) in beam and post construction, you DO use a square peg in a round hole. Front of the peg is sharpened to a pont to allow it to start in the hole, and you use a whackin' great maul to drive it into the hole.

Locks up better than a round peg.

Is anyone else getting calls from 303-586-2686? I've gotten 11 calls from them in 3 days. Told them yesterday to stop calling and I'll be danged if they didn't call twice tonight! Told them rather loudly, tonight, to stop the f%^k calling me! It's some sort survey based on what I found on Google.

Nope... The only people calling me are the red cross since I can donate blood now.

My local gun store has 1 owner and 2 employees. Those employees man the counters, answer the phone, and ring things up. This store is open 6 days a week. The 2 employees are both over 40. Does a gun store pay people hourly, like $10 an hour? Anyone know?

Most retail people get paid hourly but it could be different with a small store. I'd guess they probably get paid hourly though.

Glad to hear you can donate blood, I can't due to spending 2.5 years in Scotland in the late 70's-early 80's, something to do with "mad cow" disease.

Seems like a pretty stupid statement, but I am in CA so what can I expect? Here's my random question; Can anyone show me a low powered pistol?
You have to realize a few things to understand such statements:
1. The vast majority of people in the media are complete idiots when it comes to firearms. I am not sure if you saw it but there was a pic in the Chicago Tribune a few days ago where they were pointing out the "deadly" features of an AR-15 -- they had the sling swivel circled stating it was a bayonet lug. They also commonly refer to the AR-15 as a "high powered rifle" when it is anything but high powered unless you are comparing it to a .22LR.
2. The vast majority of the media are antigun. They will try to make any gun sound as ominous as possible.
