That one I don't know. I've only been a member since sometime last year I think. I believe the oldest post I've seen has been from 2009...

do the others the same way (dependin on shelf length), and your shelf support system is complete. now all you have to do is add the "decking (4.)." space it like you want it, and then screw it down to the horizontal support (yellow 1), and add a couple of pieces underneath (5.) in order to keep it from bowing in between shelf supports. |

HMMMMMM, northern illinois....................??? an all expenses paid whitetail hunt for a quick 2 - 3 hour job, you got yourself a deal. that's gonna be one HELLUVAN expensive 2 x 4 "garage shelf!"  
i just hate to see peeps spend jack just because it's "more convenient." it ends up costin in the long run, andju coulda spent less (or a lil more) to get a better product.

I don't think you understand how limited my abilities are. 
I'm doing the best I can. A 2-3 hour job for you would probably be a 10 hour job for me with a lot of screw ups because I lack the knowledge and skill.
I need simple.......really simple. Or I need to hire someone....which I can't afford right now.
You're breaking my spirit and shaking my confidence.
I'm sure what I have in mind isn't the best solution but I need to find something I can actually do.
