Hard water in sunlight can actually etch into the surface of paint, chrome, even glass. On chrome, use a good chrome polish and elbow grease. If that doesn't do it, its probably etched. On paint, use a polishing compound.

Lovely, if I could, I'd wax them all when I detailed them the first time, but we're talking 250 tractors...

Eeeek, that changes things a bit. Maybe try what I recommended with a scrub brush? Sounds like you need to hire some migrant workers or sumpin.

Obviously some are worse than others, it's the ones that sit by the sprinklers that are the worst... Rain isn't so bad.

I use a toothbrush dipped in chrome polish to get around bolt holes on the bike. Works pretty good, thought a scrub brush would do the same on a bigger scale. Good luck.

If eating fat makes me fat, why doesn't eating muscle make me muscular?

That's actually a really good idea, I have a pretty big brush, I'll try that thanks.

Here is my question for all the welders out there. When you stick weld are you a pusher or a puller. I am mostly a pusher, but I'll admit I am not a great welder. I used to be a mechanic in underground coal mine I did good enough to keep machines going. Do good enough to fix things around home too. Before I got my welder I was pretty good at gas welding and decent at brazing.
