Winds, I recently had to sell one of my guitars, (I keep running out of ammo
) and the guys are right...the pawn shop wil rip you off. It's a lousy time to try and sell anything right now but e-bay and craigslist at least give you options. If you have a Guitar Center or Sam Ash nearby, they will most likely give you an honest opinion on it's value. You'll probably have to pay someone for an actual appraisal so the 'big box' music stores might be your best bet. Also try a Mom and Pop music shop too, get a few opinions and it'll at least get you in the ballpark.
You can research it yourself too, hit up the Fender website, enter s/n's and model numbers and you can find out about specific production runs, materials, amount made, years of production...who knows, you may have valuable guitar on your hands!
Maybe give Opaww a PM, he's a bit of a music buff so he may have ideas too...
