I was 10 too , a black ( im thinking beretta 92 perhaps ) 9mm and a stainless snub smith .38 spl. Had the 50 rd 9mm ammo case hopping 2 feet off the ground for about 4-5 rds in a row . Was incredible. this was 1987 3 months later I shot my first 12 gauge and blew my shoulder right out the socket. The guys that let me shoot it were too scared to take me to the hospital , thought they'd get in trouble so they set my shoulder on the spot .......it hurt. I was about 20 before I had the balls to shoot a 12 ga again lol

I remember the Air Raid alerts and blackouts in WWII.
I remember seeing the searchlights and hearing the Air Raid sirens.
I remember my Dad and the Air Raid Warden going up on our roof during air raids.
I remember an Anti Aircraft gun installation not far from my home.
I remember going down to the harbour area and seeing the ships and the Barrage Balloons.
I remember the rationing, the stamps. The tokens.
I remember gas rationing, my Dad had a critical job, working the oil fields, could get all the gas he needed.
I remember waiting for, ,those, uh, "people" to attack us.
I remember seeing the Army around where my Dad worked, the oil fields.
I remember V J Day.

I remember when the ICE truck come up the street,
My Mother would go out and buy a block of ice for the "ice box"
I remember when I could leave my bicycle out all night, and it would be there in the morning.
Parents didn't worry about locking up the house.
I remember when my Parents knew everyone in the neighborhood.
I remember when neighbors respected each other,
AND
No Crime.
I remember going to the gun store, and taking your new gun home with you.
This is how old I am.

Fired my first shot,
the Family .410 S/S in the backyard. I was small, so my Brother held it up for me.

This is it. Besides, I think he's about 112 years old as of his last birthday.

In 1953 I shot my first gun,
an old ,22 single shot rifle of some sort.
Dad taught me how, and we went squirrel hunting with that old rifle for another 6 yrs or so.
Then I had to have my own shotgun, a bolt action .410,
killed many rabbits, dove, quail, and squirrel with it.

That all started at age of 6, and after army time 1966-1968, I have been gathering guns. I dont collect. I gather them. Been gathering them for 46 years.
