I will not comply. I will not lie down. I will not go quietly. I will not submit. I will not roll over. I will not shut up.

Actually, most people change they're oil more frequently than they need to

When I worked at the dealership I had a monkey wrench (yes, an authentic one), one crappy flat blade and one Phillips screwdriver and a claw hammer in my toolbox. If anybody (especially a salesman) asked if they could borrow a tool I would pull them out and tell them to take their pick and leave their wallet as collateral. If they didn't like the choices or didn't want to leave their wallet I would tell them to take a hike.

That's good to know as I don't always change mine every 3,000 miles.

Why change your oil every 3K miles? I changed the oil in my 1989 Lincoln Town Car about once a year since 1989 and it has 286K miles on it, doesn't smoke and runs perfect.

What kind of oil do you use?? And because if you don't the oil gets so used you might as well be running water in it.

personally i would say you are lucky and it would be a good time to start going to the casinos! you're way overdue for a huge payout!

i changed the engine out of an S-10 pickup years ago that was driven by a man in his early 20's who never ever did an oil change on it. his parents bought him the truck and at about 37K miles on it, the motor locked up. not one oil change! not one!

the oil minder on my Dodge Ram tells me to change the oil about 8-9K miles. i ignore it and do it about every 3500 miles. my philosphy is oil is cheaper than an engine.

My car tells me when to do it. I also sprung for the lifetime warranty. So... If the carry can't tell me when it's hungry, and it dies....my new motor will run $100.
