Anytime you see mention of the Gravelings it's a silly little tie in to a TV series that didn't last too long called Dead Like Me.
Slightly off topic but wanted to say thanks Dillinger and now you know the rest of the story (as Paul Harvey used to say).
Would like to hear more about the Gravelings.

I was waiting for someone else to mention that. I seem to recall the median age for most troops at something like 22 years old?

You have a point but less than 1% serve. Also my son works 200 miles from home all week, drives back for thursday school then usally drives back 200 miles to finish his 60+ hour work week. I am sure that there are alot of young people out there doing similar. There are deadbeats at all ages.

And J has the desire to serve. He's already one of the breed, just without the training.

Fact is, it all comes down to parentage. *tips hat*

I'm a 23-year-old diesel mechanic, I work my a** off regularly. I haven't found anything I can't fix either so I'm pretty sure I'm not a non common sense dumbass.

Laziness and a strong work ethic are traits of people of any age, there's two grown men I work with that are barely worth putting a shovel in their hands,I being twenty years old have only missed a day and a half of work in a year in a half( and that was because I had to go to MEPS) and I bust my ass every day I'm there. My boss not only pays me to drive back to and from school every week from the jobsite I work thats out of town and the gas it takes but pays all my related school tuition and books fees.

On the other hand my first boss was 62 years old and out worked every high school senior at the detail shop that HE owned.

I don't care who you are,you may produce more than me in certain activities. But you WILL NOT out work me

So as a fellow mechanic (industrial repair) you must know the old adage "my sh** always works sometimes"
