It's because it's a pivoting trigger, and has to have a certain amount of clearance right there at the place it pinches you to be able to swing 
Maybe smoothing off that corner a little will help, but it has a chance of actually making it worse (that's why I didn't suggest it).

I am not very technologically savvy. Photobucket just "improved" their website and now I have to figure it out all over again.

I had a sharp surface on my SW Model 60 trigger. While the gunsmith was working on it, he took a dremel tool and jus rounded that puppy off as smooth as a baby's bottom.
A good gunsmith can do just about anything you can imagine. Luckily, most MK II work has already been done by VolQuartzen and all you have to do is buy the parts you need and install them.

I know. I was thinking about doing that but I want to make sure I can put a new one in first in case I make it worse.
