No problem. I'll just order a new sight. They are pretty cheap. If the next one still shoots high, I can deepen the grove on the rear site.
At least now I know how to file one down if I ever need to in the future.

No problem. To be honest, the front sight on my Nagant always bugged the hell out of me. It was slightly canted to one side,and that really annoyed me. I'll be happy to have one that doesn't do that.

actually i was the one that told him to file it down. for some reason, ithought it was shooting low. had it been my suggestion would have been correct. but though he was shooting high, your suggestion was correct about th front sight.

Oh well, live and learn. I only thought about it because I was sighting in my new bow yesterday and it was still fresh in my mind. Good news if you like tinkering as much as I do. Replacing a front sight on a nagant sounds kinda fun.

No problem. New one already on the way. I got it really cheap.

The Nagant uses a dovetail for the front sight, so it's easy to adjust or replace.
