one of my favorite mostly unknown Texas bands is a group of guys called Spur 503 from around Denison Texas.

lead singer, founder and songwriter is a guy named Chance Cody. i have met him and other members of the band many times and they are very talented and super nice to meet and talk to. the wife and i go and see them when they are playing close to where we live and we have ventured to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma to see them play.

can't figure out how to post their songs or videos on here, but check out their YouTube videos. these guys are great!

BlueGuns, there is a video of them doing Chris Ledoux's song "This Cowboy Hat" on YouTube. i don't know how to post the video or i would.

one of my all time favorites is "Back To Austin" that song was one of the first songs i ever heard of their original music the first time we met them playing in our town back in 2004.

I eventually found it. I searched "This Old Hat" so that's why I came up empty.

Hmmm... Don't remember seeing any houses right off the spur. Wonder what made them choose that name.

Chris Ledoux has a song called "This Old Hat" a good one, and one called "This Cowboy's Hat" also an excellent song. I love Chris Ledoux.

Chance and Adam both are from Denison Texas. i can't remember why they chose that name. the club they play at quite a bit in Denison is Cutter's on Hwy 91 which runs into spur 503 road.
