I pressed 245 2 times. The second time was just barely. I had an inch to go and my spotters grabbed it. Strength really has nothing to do w gettin your a$$ handed to you or not. Ya its always a good thing but knowin how to handle yourself and how to fight itself is the key.

Cinder, in high school, we had to do bench press reps. Girls has to do x amount of weight x amount of time. Boys did same reps with more weight.

A girl did the girls weight it was 45 or 50 lbs I believe 50 times. My teacher who was also the coach made me do more reps... It wasn't a lot of weight maybe 80 lbs iirc, I'm not ashamed to say she damn near beat me in reps. I did it 55 and was dying. I dated her a short bit after high school. She was insane.

Ya we did something similar. It was max reps of 100 4 guys and max of 40 for girls. I wasn't by no means the highest reps. I had my wrist rebuilt bout 6 months prior to that but I still pressed it 14 times. Cinder I was always told if ANYONE can press 5# more than their body weight once they was in perfect physical strength. I can do 5 one handed chin ups Corps style straight body w either hand. Few can do that. I can do 15 donald ducks(full up side-side) pull ups and 25 pull ups over hand. That's what I'm comfortable at and I figure that's what I need to stay in the shape I wanna be in.

Haha, women tend to have more muscle endurance and men have more strength.
I had the wrestling coach come find me in my weight training class in high school because he didn't believe I could bench that much...

Oh I know I can lift more than that honey I just dont think I could do 245. Thats alot of weight. I just started benching. I was lifting a 55lb blacksmith anvil and a couple dumbells I had 35 on each one and they were starting to get a little light . And so I bought a bench a straight bar some more plates and a curling bar So I'm still workin my way up . But I can already see some improvement over what I was when I started the bench .
