There was no violence, but there was people who wanted to make a statement on what was in their opinion right. There was no one at that school that went and meet returning Viet Nam vets in Huntsville, AL and demonstrated against them. But the school wanted to protest things like Kent State.
At that time, I believe a Kent State type protest in rural North Alabama, might have been bloodier. Thankfully, it was not an issue.
I was pretty liberal then, but since then I have gotten a job!
It would seem the whole judgement on so called hippies is .....biased .! Are you saying I didn,t work..! I've worked my whole life and plan to continue to work as long as I can..!
There was a cause in theses or protests and just maybe , if you look , you learn something..! Me , a (HIPPIE) of the highest and proudest degree .! What are the masses doing today to voice their opinions today..?
I'll stand again if the need arise , but what I find..nobody wants hear the true thrueth, nor do anything about it ....!
