Default Quick update

Hey guys, just want to let you know what's going on. Today is my last day of leave, then I'll be working with my recruiter for a week. Next Monday I go to NC for a month for field training. I won't have access to the internet. After that though, I'll be in California for awhile with my laptop and internet so I'll be able to be much more active on here. I'll be on here a little bit over the next week, but other than that I'll talk to you guys in December. Here's a picture for those that wanted one

(excuse the crooked belt, my girlfriend was pushing it up)

Take care guys
-Franklin

Good luck to you son and thank you for stepping up.
I get the feeling you'll really like my home state (especially in the Fall) and you're welcome to come back anytime.

I'm hoping I'll like it, I'm going to be out in the field for a couple weeks! How's the weather in November? I'm really hoping it's not gonna be too chilly. Also, I'm really hoping to be stationed permanently in NC. I've passed through there and it is beautiful. Definitely my kind of place.

Thank you Shadecorp and Winds

Lows in the 40's.. Highs in the mid to upper 60's.. the forests are colorful beyond description... Clear as a bell for the next 10 days. Got our State Fair going on till next Sunday in Raleigh... with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts closing it out. We have the Dixie Gun & Knife show November 22 & 23rd (also at the Fairgrounds); http://dixiegunandknifeshow.com/pages/raleigh-show.html
I assume you'll be down around Fayetteville?? .. If so; http://www.visitdowntownfayetteville.com/visit_downtown/event_calendar.aspx?mon=11&yr=2014

One thing is certain about the weather in NC. If you do not like the weather you are currently experiencing just wait a couple days, it will change.

Most of the time in November we have a steady routine of sixty degree days and forty degree nights. But the weather is capable of becoming Arctic cold or Bahamas warm during November. The coldest weather here in NC is when the temperature hovers right above freezing. You will be wet and cold. Don't leave your winter socks at home.

Bread bags are your best friend in wet and cold weather. Just put on your socks like you normally would. Then put a bread bag over your socks right before you slip on your boots. I have tried everything to keep my feet warm but I have found nothing that is better than a bread bag.

Rubber insulated boots that are preferred in many snowy areas last about a month in NC. We have an abundance of thorny bushes and vines that will poke tiny holes in rubber boots that you cannot see.
